Everyone sits in a circle wearing blindfolds. The trainer removes two plastic cards from the deck of 30, then distributes the remaining cards among the participants. Their task is to determine which two cards are missing—without ever seeing the cards themselves.
Participants must rely on active listening and clear language to describe and decode abstract shapes and colors. Through trial and error, they learn how to adapt their words, build shared understanding, and collaborate under uncertainty. The trainer shares the color of each participant’s cards at the start but provides no other hints, leaving the group to create a common language on their own.
Typically, each person receives two cards at the beginning of the activity, but CommuniCards can also be played with fewer shapes and colors depending on group size.
