Two teams, standing opposite each other in a circle, must work together to pick up balls off the ground and transport them to a designated place (a bucket for example). The participants are not allowed to touch the balls themselves; they may only hold the ropes attached to the scooping device. After a few failed attempts, the participants realize they need to get creative. With some openness to new ideas and good coordination, there are a number of ways the task can be accomplished.
The group is split into a team of managers and a team of workers. The managers are responsible for coordinating the project but are not allowed to touch the ropes. To master this challenge, they must be focused on achieving the goal while communicating effectively to their workers. Managers can be pre-assigned or the group can be tasked with self-organizing.
